Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

By using Recap you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

Recap summarizes videos, podcasts and articles using AI. Summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions — they're a convenience, not a substitute for the original source, and you shouldn't rely on them for important decisions.

Accounts

You're responsible for your account and for the activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.

Acceptable use

Don't use Recap to break the law, infringe others' rights, summarize content you have no right to access, abuse or overload the service, or attempt to bypass plan limits or security. We may suspend accounts that do.

Subscriptions & billing

Recap offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan ($6.99/month or $49.99/year), billed through PayPal, with a 3-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel anytime and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Because access is delivered immediately, fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Content & intellectual property

The original content you summarize belongs to its owners; Recap does not claim rights to it. The Recap software, brand and site are ours. Summaries generated for you are yours to use for your own purposes.

No warranty & liability

Recap is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Termination

You can stop using Recap anytime. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version.
